This Privacy Policy explains what data Signal2Hire collects, how it is used, how long it is kept, and what rights users have in relation to that data.

1. Who we are

Signal2Hire is an AI recruiter assistant operated by a sole trader (OSVČ) in the Czech Republic. For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at [email protected].

2. What data we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect and store:

• uploaded CV files (such as PDF or DOCX files)
• extracted and cleaned text derived from uploaded documents
• AI-generated analysis results and match outputs
• Google account information used for login, such as name, email address, and profile image
• technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser information, device information, request logs, and timestamps
• analytics data collected through Google Analytics
• billing-related metadata from Stripe, such as payment status, product, and customer identifiers

3. How we use data

We use personal data to:

• provide document analysis and match analysis features
• save analysis history for logged-in users
• authenticate users through Google login
• manage subscriptions and payment status
• maintain service security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues
• understand product usage and improve the service

4. AI processing

Signal2Hire uses third-party AI services, including OpenAI, to process extracted and cleaned text from uploaded documents. Signal2Hire is designed so that cleaned text, rather than the raw full CV file, is sent for AI processing where possible. AI outputs are stored in the product as part of the user's analysis history.

5. Legal bases for processing

We process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases, as applicable under GDPR: consent, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests such as operating, securing, and improving the service.

6. User responsibility for uploaded data

Users must only upload candidate data that they are legally permitted to process and share. By using Signal2Hire, you confirm that you have an appropriate legal basis to upload and process the relevant candidate information.

7. Data retention

Uploaded CV files, extracted text, and generated analysis history are stored in the service database for history and account functionality. Unless a shorter retention policy is introduced later, data is kept until the user requests deletion or until it is otherwise removed by the operator for operational reasons.

8. Third-party services

Signal2Hire currently uses third-party providers including:

• Google, for authentication
• Stripe, for payment processing
• OpenAI, for AI-based analysis
• Google Analytics, for analytics and usage measurement

Signal2Hire does not store full payment card details. Payment card information is handled by Stripe.

9. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers under applicable data protection law.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of data, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, and data portability. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.

11. How to request deletion or exercise rights

To request access, correction, deletion, or another privacy action, contact us at [email protected]. We may ask for limited information to verify the request before processing it.

12. Cookies and analytics

Signal2Hire uses cookies or similar technologies for analytics through Google Analytics. Where required by law, analytics will only be activated after the user provides consent through the cookie banner.

13. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the updated effective date.
